Vero To Demonstrate New Features for enhanced flexibility at SIANE 2018

Vero Software will feature the latest versions of its CAD/CAM and ERP solutions - VISI, EDGECAM, WORKPLAN and WORKXPLORE - at the Siane 2018 Exhibition at the Parc des Expositions in Toulouse from 23 to 25 October.

The Siane exhibition is the annual trade fair for industrialists from Southwestern France. More than 10,500 visitors are expected to attend the 14th show, which focuses on Industry 4.0.

Vero are on Stand 6Z 17-2 which they are sharing with parent company Hexagon, where they will present new features and enhancements in the current versions of VISI, EDGECAM and WORKPLAN. Visitors will learn how they can design, simulate, measure, analyze, program, monitor and manage the production of all types of parts for the aeronautics sector with just one single supplier.

VISI 2018 R2 includes a new function for providing a mirrored copy of all operations in the project, in order to automatically create a new machining sequence for the symmetrical part. This can be applied to 2D, 3D, 3+2 Axis, and 4/5 axis toolpaths generated by VISI. Hubert Nairaud, Sales Manager for the southeastern region, says: "Initial cutting methods are maintained for all operations. The main advantage is the reduced toolpath preparation times on mirrored geometries, which is a common requirement in the industry."

Aeronautic applications require the use of multi-axis lathes, and increasingly call on the use of multi-function turn-mill machining centres. EDGECAM offers simple and secure programming of these multi-function machine tools. EDGECAM 2018 R2 sees a complete revision of the "Tombstone" manager, featuring 13 enhancements. The Tombstone function allows several existing toolpath programs to be merged into one single CAM file and to optimize cutter trajectories (cutters, part setup and strategies). New features such as 'add' parts or retrospectively 'edit' source files are valuable additions to this powerful functionality.

WORKPLAN, the first ERP system to be integrated into a CAD/CAM/ERP digital supply chain, will demonstrate how to precisely supervise and analyze, step by step, the complete manufacturing process.  "WORKPLAN is an invaluable aid thanks to its CRM, Quotations, Job Tracker, Purchasing and Stock Control, Planning, Production Management and Quality Management modules." One of the new features of WORKPLAN 2018 R2 on show is the Mobile CRM license, developed in partnership with Swing Mobility. This is a Packing Management module offering precise control of shipments, and production supervision with graphic visualization of project progression, as well as a part workshop localization and traceability function.

Finally, WORKXPLORE reinforces its status as a powerful collaborative viewer/analyzer, with a range of new functions. Apart from native EDGECAM and WORKNC files, WORKXPLORE is the fastest solution to open and process files from the principal CAD applications.   "The high level of file recovery and interpretation, including all part or assembly properties along with PMIs or CAD scenes, guarantee a complete and exhaustive analysis without any loss of information," says Hubert Nairaud.
